Indosuez and Amundi acquire a stake in AirFund
Indosuez and Amundi acquire a stake in AirFund to promote the marketing of private asset funds.
Indosuez has joined forces with Amundi to acquire a stake in AirFund, a fintech founded in 2017, by raising €6 million in Series A funding.
AirFund is a French start-up which, since 2021, develop and propose services for the digitalisation of the relationship between management companies and distributors of Private Markets funds.
With Amundi, we therefore become reference minority shareholders and active members of the company's governance and strategic committee.
For Indosuez, this deal is done in conjunction with the signing of a commercial partnership aimed at digitalising the relationship with our investors, both B2C (Indosuez clients) and B2B2C (clients of distribution partners), on an international scale.
The commercial partnership with AirFund is the culmination of several months' work on an ambitious project to digitalise the distribution of Private Markets funds managed by Indosuez asset management companies. Cornerstone of the transformation of the Private Markets business line's, AirFund will significantly improve the customer experience and help to support the extension of the distribution of Private Markets offerings, with the aim of reaching €10bn in assets under management by the end of 2025.
The future Indosuez platform will also provide synergies for the distribution of partners' real asset investment offerings, such as those of the Real Estate business line.
Nicolas Renauld, Global Head of Private Markets at Indosuez, declares: "With an investment platform that has been recognized by the market for over 20 years, and assets under management of more than €7.5 billion, this partnership is part of Indosuez's strategy to accelerate its presence in private markets. Digitalization is an essential element in improving the experience of our investors and partners.”
Finally, Amundi is joining us in this transaction with two objectives:
- On the one hand, AirFund and Amundi Alternative & Real Assets will join forces to expand their offerings to reach new clients and provide investment vehicle structuring services.
- On the other hand, the BtoB distribution platform Fund Channel will use AirFund to extend the range of funds offered to its distributor clients including private equity funds.
